This morning mega-popular Bergüzar Korel and Halit Ergenç from the One Thousand and One Nights series headed for the tour organized by Konzum and Atlas travel agency to discover the charms of Zagreb. Under a vigilant attention of tourist experts, the famous duo was introduced to the historical and modern features of our capital.

This morning popular actors Bergüzar Korel and Halit Ergenç left the Zagreb Westin hotel, which is their base during the stay in Zagreb, and together with a tour guide headed for the tour of Zagreb. Their first sightseeing location was the Gradska kavana coffee house, where they were met by Mrs. Amelia Tomašević, the director of the Zagreb Tourist Board, which presented them with gifts. During the breakfast Mr. Branko Ognjenović, our leading gastro expert and the selector of the Croatian culinary team led them through the story of gastronomy in Croatia as he served them breakfast that encompassed all our regions (cheese from the island of Pag, pate from the Adriatic white and oily fish, the Croatian version of corn hasty pudding called zlijevanka, fritters and other Croatian delicacies).
The program proceeded with the tour of the Zagreb cathedral and the tour of Upper Town, where they were especially delighted with the St. Mark’s Square. A pleasant and relaxed tour was completed with a story about the history of the cravat in CROATA’s salon in the Octogon passage. The guests were especially surprised and excited to hear the story about the interweaving of the Turkish and Croatian tie history and cheered up by the attractive gifts with the motifs of the Glagolitic script and Croatian wickerwork pattern. Bergüzar Korel was especially delighted with the hand-made cravat for her son.
