adriatica.net CENTAR PUTOVANJA opens the most modern tourist office in the region 01. 12. 2008.

The top-of-range adriatica.net CENTAR PUTOVANJA office, opened in the heart of the city, raises travel agency services to a new level, with the online booking corner, plasma screens and the digital shop window being just part of the conveniences at number 7 Gajeva Street.

The special novelty of the new, modern office is the internet corner where customers can independently search, choose and book travel packages, flight tickets and other services available at www.adriatica.net. This facility makes it the best place in the city for booking of flight tickets and other travel arrangements.

Eight plasma screens show front pages of different catalogues, while a large screen in the shop window shows authentic footage from different destinations and special and last minute offers.

The office, area of 50 m2, is envisaged as a minimalist space representing the departure point of a journey, which offers a window into the world on two sides. This is achieved with the help of two video projections, one directed at the entrance and the other at the bottom of the room. The projecting device is controlled from the company’s headquarters in Heinzelova Street, which opens up additional possibilities such as showing sundry attractive video material, live streaming from different cities or video art works. In order to absorb the city feel into the office, the space is divided from the outside world by means of only a large, rimless glass window, the area of 15 m2.

The other important element of the interior design is the usage of lighting for transformation of space, which has been accomplished by installing 40 metres of multi-colour LED lighting along the room edges. The lighting can colour the room orange or blue, the corporate colours of adriatica.net, or assume the colour that dominates the video projection.

Comfortable chairs and coffee table with travel magazines contribute to the pleasant lounge atmosphere, as does the relaxing music that stimulates the thought of travelling and foreign destinations. Chairs by Konstantin Grčić (Chair ONE) blend perfectly with the whole space, as well as his footstool/table OSOROM, around which there are MOROSO-FJORD armchairs by Patricia Urquiola, one of the biggest female stars of modern design.

Among other things, this office is ideal for the Saturday city-centre scene members, which can have their travel packages created by competent and pleasant staff while sipping on their coffee.

adriatica.net Group developed from the www.adriatica.net online travel agency. First major enlargement happened in 2004, when the agency took over Atlas Airtours, one of the first tour operators in Croatia.

The expansion continued in 2005, when the company entered German, Dutch and Slovenian markets by taking over ID Riva Tours Gmbh, Odisej and Ilirika Turizem travel agencies. A further step towards enlargement of the Group had been made in 2006, when ATLAS Travel Agency and Kompas JSC, present at more than 26 markets, became members of adriatica.net Group.

Jolly Travel, Serbia’s leading tour operator, joined the Group in 2007.
