Key decisions regarding growth and developmental strategy have been brought at the shareholders’ meeting of Kompas Ltd (member of adriatica.net Group), held today in Ljubljana. Board of Directors members have also been appointed –Janko Pergar as Board President, Marko Vojković as Vicepresident and Mihovil Prpić, Ivan Zec and Alex Kogoy as Board members.

Chief topics of the discussion held at the Kompas Ltd shareholders’ meeting were the Board’s report on the recapitalisation that has been made, and the change of the company’s status after the transition to the unified management system.

The decision was reached at the meeting, that the transition to the unified management system be made, with the view of prompter and more efficient making of decisions regarding the developmental activities of the Tourism division. A unified management system will contribute to greater operating flexibility and business efficiency. The board will also assume the supervising position, as has been decided.

The following gentlemen have been appointed members of Board of Directors: the present Board President Janez Pergar, the Board President of adriatica.net Group Marko Vojković, Mihovil Prpić, member of Board of Finances Ivan Zec and Alex Kogoy, the employees’ representative.

It was confirmed that by October 10th 2008, the second round of recapitalisation deadline, a further 125.000 company’s shares have been acquired and paid for, in the amount of 10 million Euro. The majority shareholder, adriatica.net Group, has with this recapitalisation increased it’s share of stocks to 91,60 %.

Kompas Ltd, the main exponent of the Tourism division for Slovenia, will with the paid funds continue to implement its growth and acquisition strategy in Europe and the World. It is important to note that Kompas has acquired two companies in the last months, the American Kollander World Travel and Greek Zeus – Kompas.

adriatica.net Group developed from the www.adriatica.net online travel agency. First major enlargement happened in 2004, when the agency took over Atlas Airtours, one of the first tour operators in Croatia.

The expansion continued in 2005, when the company entered German, Dutch and Slovenian markets by taking over ID Riva Tours Gmbh, Odisej and Ilirika Turizem travel agencies. A further step towards enlargement of the Group had been made in 2006, when ATLAS Travel Agency and Kompas JSC, present at more than 26 markets, became members of adriatica.net Group.

Jolly Travel, Serbia’s leading tour operator, joined the Group in 2007.
