The American company Kollander World Travel will from December the 1st be integrated in the Kompas USA travel agency, a member of adriatica.net Group, business processes. The company’s yearly turnover on the American market is $ 6,8 million. adriatica.net Group is expecting an increase of 30 % in Kollander World Travel’s business.
American company Kollander World Travel is a strategic acquisition of Kompas USA, a member of adriatica.net Group. From December 1st, the business activities of Kollander travel agency, which succeeded in staying afloat on the unforgiving American market for 85 years, will be integrated in the business activities of adriatica.net Group. After a successful breakthrough on the Chinese market, the Group has, with this and the takeover of Kompas USA, made a step further towards globalisation of its business activities, as well as reinforced the foundations for its expansion strategy for the North American market.
Established in 1923 in Cleveland, Kollander World Travel today offers all aspects of travel business – cruises, corporate packages, group and individual packages, which makes it competitive on the extremely demanding USA market. Kollander World Travel, based in Cleveland, Ohio, has developed an international network of partners and clients by adapting to ever-changing trends and modern technologies. The company is characterised by its years-long experience and exceptional business know-how.
adriatica.net Group developed from the www.adriatica.net online travel agency. First major enlargement happened in 2004, when the agency took over Atlas Airtours, one of the first tour operators in Croatia.
The expansion continued in 2005, when the company entered German, Dutch and Slovenian markets by taking over ID Riva Tours Gmbh, Odisej and Ilirika Turizem travel agencies. A further step towards enlargement of the Group had been made in 2006, when ATLAS Travel Agency and Kompas JSC, present at more than 26 markets, became members of adriatica.net Group.
Jolly Travel, Serbia’s leading tour operator, joined the Group in 2007.
